e’ve just released our latest industry report on ARC Raiders. ARC Raiders is a live-service PvPvE third-person extraction shooter from Embark Studios, released on October 30th, 2025. Right away, the game got people talking. Many players liked its gameplay, atmosphere, and bold design, but it also became a key example in the ongoing debate about using Generative AI in game development.

Embark Studios openly acknowledged the use of AI-driven tools during development, most notably in the game’s 'Enemy AI' behaviour systems and character voiceovers. These claims divided players and developers alike, raising important questions about creativity, ethics, production pipelines, and player trust. PlayerXP’s new report looks closely at these questions and more.

In this report, we explain how ARC Raiders uses modern AI technologies. We look at where and how generative tools were used, what benefits they brought to development, and what challenges or concerns came up. We also review how the community responded, using player feedback, online discussions, and industry comments to show why AI is still a hot topic in gaming.
