n a world that increasingly prioritises renewable energy, the role of community engagement has never been more crucial. As we navigate the transition toward greener energy sources, the need for transparent and effective communication with local communities is paramount. This is precisely why the recent partnership between Hertzian and Celtic Sea Power has ignited excitement across Cornwall and beyond.
TRURO, UK – 1st September 2025. Hertzian is excited to announce a strategic partnership with Celtic Sea Power. This landmark collaboration brings cutting-edge AI to Offshore Wind. The aim is to leverage Hertzian's advanced artificial intelligence (AI) technology alongside Celtic Sea Power's extensive industry knowledge to create a state-of-the-art stakeholder engagement system designed to optimise transparency and efficiency in the rapidly developing green energy sector. As both companies share a commitment to fostering economic growth and innovation in Cornwall, this partnership represents a powerful alliance between two leading Cornish companies.
Hertzian, an award-winning AI company based in Cornwall, is recognised nationally for its pioneering text analysis solutions powered by its proprietary AI. Its recent win at the prestigious National AI Award and Celtic Business Awards cements its reputation as one of the UK's top technology companies and serves as further testament to its role in driving innovation in the industry.
Celtic Sea Power is an arms-length company owned by Cornwall Council, working in the Celtic Sea region, for the Celtic Sea region to ensure that, wherever possible, local people feel the social and economic benefits of one of the most ambitious Offshore Wind pipelines in the world. Their mission is to maximise the value of our assets, businesses, and communities to deliver national infrastructure with local benefits.
The partnership will focus on co-developing a sophisticated stakeholder engagement platform powered by Hertzian's AI. This system will process substantial amounts of community feedback and stakeholder input, furnishing Celtic Sea Power with real-time insights that can support more responsive and transparent engagement. Such engagement is essential for developing positive social value impacts by understanding community and environmental concerns, particularly in large-scale renewable energy projects.
"By combining our proven AI technology with Celtic Sea Power's unparalleled understanding of the marine renewable energy landscape, we can ensure that the development of this vital clean energy resource is done in a way that is both efficient and deeply attuned to the needs and concerns of all stakeholders. We are proud to be a Cornish company contributing to a project of such national and international significance." — Christopher Weavill, CEO of Hertzian
"Offshore wind in the Celtic Sea is taking big steps forward. Earlier in the summer, we saw The Crown Estate announce the winners of their large scale Leasing Round 5 meaning that there are now 3.4GW of offshore wind projects in development in our waters. These are complex projects which will take time to reach completion, therefore there is an amazing opportunity to ensure that genuine, sustainable, and positive benefits land in the region. Key to this, is a deep understanding of what our communities, stakeholders and people feel about the developing industry. Hertzian's innovative AI technology will provide us with an invaluable tool to enhance engagement with such stakeholders, ensuring that we can effectively listen to, understand, and respond to the voices of the communities we serve. We are very excited by this partnership, and look forward to developing an approach which will add real value to the wider renewable energy eco-system.” - Matt Hodson, Chief Operations Officer, Celtic Sea Power
This collaboration has the potential to underpin a genuine “social contract” between the UK’s energy transition goals and the local communities, supply chains, and stakeholders in the regions with the energy resources. The alliance between Hertzian and Celtic Sea Power illustrates the collaborative spirit driving Cornwall's technological and economic ambitions. Through this partnership, both organisations aim not only to promote clean energy but also to establish a new benchmark for effective and transparent stakeholder engagement in major infrastructure projects.

On October 16th, 2023, the National AI Awards took place at Adastral Park in Ipswich, and we at Hertzian were thrilled to be nominated for the "AI Product of the Year" category. Competing alongside impressive nominees like Earzz, the Kiki Family App, Oura Ring, and the Westminster City Council's "Report It!" team, our excitement was palpable as we showcased what Hertzian has to offer.

This past August, Europe’s biggest Games Showcase, Gamescom, opened its show floor and held its Opening Night Live (ONL) for the world to see! These sorts of events happen all the time, but it’s never easy to tell how exactly everyone feels about them. Sure, you can look in the comments on YouTube or browse Reddit, but there’s no real way to get an objective, comprehensive view of how people feel about Gamescom.
