U

nited By Games is a day-long event tailored to community professionals within the gaming industry. Based in London’s Rich Mix Cinema, it provides the perfect opportunity to learn from other experienced Community Managers, Social Media Managers, and game company representatives. It’s the perfect event to participate in panels, join in fireside chats and celebrate with your fellow professionals!

London’s diverse population allows us to hear voices and stories from all corners of the gaming industry. Our chosen venue often showcases artists from every genre imaginable, from a wide range of cultures and backgrounds, perfect for our event with similar themes. Guests can view the gallery during breaks, alongside the complimentary lunch attendees can enjoy as they chat and network.

An important thing to note, United By Games is an alcohol-free event. Our reason being that we want to eliminate the opportunity for the type of negative encounters that have rocked the industry of late, and prevent such occurrences from happening at our event. However, there’ll be plenty of other refreshments available! What better place to serve tea than London!

In our carefully-considered program, we aim to delve into aspects of the gaming industry that our communities face every day. Our themes for 2023 include:

  • Mental Health & Wellbeing
  • Empowering the Community
  • Building a community from scratch within the indie space
  • Dealing with toxicity and how to create the right environment for players
  • Making social media and community more accessible
  • Mentorship
  • Breaking the silo
  • Real stories from the front: intense tales and what we learnt from them
  • Nurturing and Safeguarding your audience of all ages

As we slowly announce our speakers and panellists, we’re thrilled to confirm that the following Community Professionals from these well known companies will be speaking:

  • Safe in Our World
  • King
  • Uplift Games
  • CCP
  • Pastagames
  • Radical Forge
  • PTW
  • Super Rare Games
  • Many Cats Games
  • Limit Break
  • Toya Play
  • And of course, Player XP

We hope to be joined by Community Leads/Managers, Social Media Experts, Customer Support & Player Experience attendees, along with those who directly connect with their community from a variety of studios.  Player XP’s CEO Christopher Weavill, CTO Andrew Husband, and Head of Community Development Jenesee Grey will be attending, making for a great opportunity to chat with the team.

Keep an eye on the page for any updates or additional speakers/panellists and remember, if you are looking to join us on October 5th, space is limited so make sure to secure your tickets!
