Kicking off 2023, Christopher Weavill (CEO) and David Dixon (Machine Learning & Data Scientist) represented Player XP in Budapest at the AI & AUT Expo. Chris represented us with honour, and delivered a presentation on the application of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and engaged with exceptional business and research leaders.
At GDC, our founders Chris (CEO) and Andy (CTO) had the privilege of meeting with our lovely client, Warner Bros. Games. They were graciously invited for an office tour, providing a personal touch after we collaborated on the successful launch of Hogwarts Legacy the previous month.
In April, Player XP introduced a new ground-breaking feature – Toxicity! This tool allows our users to monitor community well-being, report player toxicity, and address safety concerns. A notable application of this feature occurred when developer Jagex launched the ‘Necromancy’ skill in their game, RuneScape. Utilizing Toxicity, Jagex identified and managed toxic elements within their community, demonstrating effective control over the situation. As of now, all accounts should have the Toxicity feature enabled. Let us know if you have any questions on how best to utilize this tool with your community!
This past June, Andy and Jenesee hosted a highly successful workshop at the Game Quality Forum, showcasing and speaking on best practices across various stages of a game’s lifecycle. Due to its success, we’re excited to announce that we’ll be hosting a similar online workshop on January 25th, join us and register HERE!
Participating in Develop: Brighton provided PlayerXP with valuable opportunities to connect with clients and forge new relationships. Chris and Joe met with Curve Games, later assisting with the launch of ‘For The King II.’ Chris also participated in a panel as part of Just About’s Community Collab and secured an invite to the coveted Splash Damage party!
Leading up to United By Games, Chris and Joe attended Gamescom, engaging in meetings with PlayerXP’s clients and potential future partners.
We welcomed a new addition to our data sources, TikTok! The team’s dedicated efforts have resulted in seamlessly integrating TikTok into PlayerXP. Users can now monitor their communities’ activity on the world’s fifth-largest social platform! For inquiries about utilizing TikTok to enhance community understanding, contact us.
What a whirlwind! All that encapsulates our incredible journey at PlayerXP for the year. As we bid farewell to 2023, we’re thrilled about our ambitious plans for 2024 and can’t wait to unveil what’s in store. Be sure to stay tuned!
In a world that increasingly prioritises renewable energy, the role of community engagement has never been more crucial. As we navigate the transition toward greener energy sources, the need for transparent and effective communication with local communities is paramount. This is precisely why the recent partnership between Hertzian and Celtic Sea Power has ignited excitement across Cornwall and beyond.
Earlier this month, we had the incredible opportunity to attend the Interceltic Business Forum. We are thrilled to announce that we were honoured with an award as part of the Interceltic Startup Challenge held at the event! This recognition means a lot to us, and we want to take a moment to express our gratitude and acknowledge all the talented competitors who participated in the Startup Challenge.
We at PlayerXP are proud to announce the release of Version 3.1 (Beta) of our signature PlayerXP Dashboard! This update brings a brand new, more modern design alongside a number of optimisations that improve performance and the overall user experience.
