his past May, our CEO, Christopher Weavill, had the pleasure of attending the Falmouth Games Expo as a VIP panel guest! This event is a local Expo hosted by Falmouth University’s Games Academy, and it celebrates the amazing efforts of its students of the past year. This year’s Expo featured a wide range of things, from fun and elaborate games to intricate and inspiring robotics projects!
While there, he was amazed by all the unique ideas and concepts showcased by the students of the Games Academy. Students from all over shared their work and ideas, showing the amazing things that they’re capable of!
While on the panel, he mentioned that “Game technology has come a long way in the last decade! I remember when I was learning bump mapping as a 3D artist. While PlayerXP isn't a game studio, I love collaborating with studios of all sizes to help them create great games."He’s incredibly thankful for the experience and he, as well as the rest of us at PlayerXP, is looking forward to where their journeys take these wonderful students next. After all, for every chapter that ends, there’s always a new one shining on the horizon!

This past August, Europe’s biggest Games Showcase, Gamescom, opened its show floor and held its Opening Night Live (ONL) for the world to see! These sorts of events happen all the time, but it’s never easy to tell how exactly everyone feels about them. Sure, you can look in the comments on YouTube or browse Reddit, but there’s no real way to get an objective, comprehensive view of how people feel about Gamescom.
